Holidays!

Woot!

Second day into my holidays and I’m enjoying the chillaxing.

There has been an abundance of family events recently with visitors from overseas and interstate. Lots of eating out and an inordinant amount of crustaceans consumed. Anyway, beyond the eating I have managed to just lazy about so far which has been fantastic. Having to wake up at 6:20am for work and now being able to lie back sleep til 9am has been totally awesome. Though the upside is now I have slightly more $$$ to spend… on gifts for myself… lol.. I wish!

Only thing now I need to do is organise my exercise regime as my gut is getting bigger and bigger as usual. I think I have been harping on long enough about getting back to training, I think it’s time to get this arranged properly!

He’s done it again!

Yay for Pay Per View! and Yay for Floyd Mayweather Jnr!

So, today was the much anticipated Mayweather vs Hatton fight! Camped out infront of the television I got to see 10 rounds of Mayweather outclassing Hatton. I don’t think any of my descriptions would adequately explain the skills PBF showed, but yet again he was fast, he was technical and he showed some power too. I personally thought that Hatton won 1… maybe 2 rounds out of the 10. PBF hit him with the long jab at will when they were at distance, and on the inside amongst all the wrestlin, PBF out worked him too with body shots.

The final 3 rounds clearly showed PBF asserting his dominance and in the 10th the left ‘check hook’ to the jaw dropped him in the corner. To his credit, Hatton got back up but he was pretty unsteady and got rocked again, and the ref put an end to the fight. Hatton had a few good looks in the fight, but he never really got into whatever his fight plan was.

Anywhos, there are plenty of articles and what have you that would better explain the fight but I am pretty happy with the outcome.

Other than the fight, this weekend has been fairly relaxed. I’ve had one barbeque for a little girl’s birthday and a quiet Friday night at home after our work Xmas party. It’s good to relax and unwind. All is well in Frutzieland.

It is almost that time of the year again. Time for fun, holidays, family and reflection.

This year has absolutely flown by and I hope that when it comes time to look back on the year I can say I am satisfied with how it went.

I think thinking back quickly, the year hasn’t been bad. I guess my whole fitness thing could have been better though! I did improve and had a really good patch but I when uni work piled up I reverted to my inner fatty.

Anyway, so since it is December it is time for buying and it appears that the silly shopping season has begun. Cheazles and I went out shopping over the weekend and there were bazillions of people roaming the stores! What makes having bazillions of people out and about not fun is the lack of understanding regarding etiquette; especially pedestrian etiquette. Things such as, slow walkers should stay towards one side and groups travelling slowly should endeavour not to stand 3-4 people wide and that people should not randomly stop in the middle of the traffic flow are fairly common sense type concepts. However, some people seem to really struggle with it. GRRrrrr… Well, I had better stop complaining… I do not want to get started on people who do not understand queuing etiquette! Such as; because there is an orderly queue keeping the counter relatively uncrowded, it is not an invitation for you to go straight to the counter. ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Time for me to take my pills and have a nap… good night.

Oh.. and being old does not absolve you from having to adhere to good etiquette. Old codgers to the back of the line please!
