Back to the grind..

Well, Uni is back and I’m working again! BUT.. I’m on monthly pay!! NOOOoooo!!!! Besides that, it was a great first week at work and hopefully the whole year will be just as enjoyable! Plus I attempted and failed miserably at lawn bowls… but we really didn’t have that many bowls! Lots of fun though!

Anywhoz, hopefully this semester will be better academically than last semester! At least the finish line is finally visible!

On to other news, my sister is getting married this weekend!! woot!! Wedding is here (Since her fiance is catholic) and Dinner is here! So it should be an entertaining weekend!
Oh and apparently Amph is going to be a uncle twice over so grats to all parties involved in the baby making process! hehehe..

AND…. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO RUBINHO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The old bastard is no longer formally recognized by national youth week! lol!

Ouch!

Well Sifu made an appearance here and so I caught up with him yesterday and thus there was a sense of impending doom since I had not trained much in the last year and a half. However, I was pleasantly surprised by my efforts and Sifu said he was happy that I hadn’t lost much of what I had been taught… until he saw the last two moves I had been taught. Since I’d been shown them maybe all of 5 times before we all got lazy and stopped training, I really didn’t have them down pat… to the extent that Sifu insisted on me relearning them from scratch! I did get taught a couple of new things which i’ll need to practice hard since he may be back later in the year.

Anyway, it was a good solid session… lasting from about 5:20pm-10:20pm.. thus I am still feeling the effect.

Also, I’ve been instructed by Sifu to buy a new stick! woot! more sticks! If my parents have any complaints they can forward them onto Sifu.. hehehehe.. now if only I could get sifu to recommend me to buy sharp pointy stuff!

The time has finally arrived where my friends are beginning the ‘married with family’ cycle of life.

This is a big CONGRATULATION post for my oldest friend Adrian!!!!

The big guy is now a married man! Having known him from his humble beginnings in primary school as a skivvy wearing, street savvy kid who knew that the girls toilet was some place that we should avoid at all costs! My trust piggy back fight partner has found himself a girl.. and not just any girl! The perfect girl for him!

It is so cool to see two people so well suited. They share a geeky nerdiness that binds them together! Not only is his wife (Monica) computer literate (possibly more than he is), she plays computer games and she also has seen ARMIES OF DARKNESS!!!!!!!!!!  That is a big tick in my book! Now all we need to do is locate a copy of Aid’s other two favourite films Robot Jox and Tremors and get her into playing RPGs and MUDs like he used to!

Anyways, I just thought it is lovely that they have found each other and that the wedding was a really nice occassion too! I wish them all the best!
