Holidays!

So, I’m back from my little holiday with Cheazles down to the Great Ocean Road. We stayed in the Ti Tree Cottages in the little town of Forrest in the otways and it was quite lovely. We did the Otway Fly walk and also wandered down the Triplet Falls too. The next day was spent driving down to the 12 Apostles and the assorted sites down that way. Anywhoz, it was a great trip down there and it was made even better cos we had this homely little cottage to return to at night for Cheazles and I to enjoy the domestic life together.

So here are a couple of little happy snaps from the holiday.

This here is a portion of my favourite tree I saw in the Otways. It amused me cos it had these little green things sprouting all over it.

This is the view looking down from the Otway Fly in the forest canopy. Since I am scared of heights, I must say this wasn’t my favourite activity and I behaved like a big Wuss the whole time. So people who are afraid of heights (Harold!) don’t GO!!!

Here is the main bit of Triplet Falls. It was a lovely little walk.

Changes

Everything is back to normal for now.. Cheazles is home! Yay! with gifts too!! Woot!!

Well, actually she’s been back for a week. It’ll be another week before Amph gets back, but then we’ll be losing Nuffies for the next few years. So things are still changing around here. Then in June we lose Rubinho for good too.. everyone is leaving! Don’t you people love me anymore?!

In all honesty though, I guess it is a sign of everyone growing up and having changes in their lives.

It was a great but some what sad Saturday night for us. It was great to have my closest friends around (minus Amph who is holidaying in Europe) for one last hurrah before life sweeps us all on our way. I must say that our conversations have changed over time too… but I won’t go into that one too much. (MMmm.. Big Red Tomato Sauce)

I wonder what life will have brought us in 5 years time when we all sit down together again and have a yarn late into the night. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.. if all goes to plan maybe some mini-Frutzies and Frutzettes.. maybe 5.. LOL

Oh and a big Huzzah to the Aussie Cricket Team who won the ashes series 5-0 today! Always fun to see the Poms cop a hiding!

Commitment

That is my new years resolution… I was pondering to myself what it should be, and finally it came to me yesterday. To dedicate as much commitment as possible to whatever endeavours I undertake. So, my first day into 2007 saw me wander off to the 1000 steps and do me some exercise.

So at the end of this year expect to see a lean mean arnie-esque physique! LOL… ok, I’ll settle on reducing the waist line and increasing my general health and well being since 2006 wasn’t so great health wise for me.

OH.. since my ice creaming has suffered a little the last 12 months, I just would like to say I had a fantastic vanilla bean and Cognac ice cream on New Years Eve. Was tops! AND… had a couple of sarsaparilla floats/spiders… awesome!
