FREEDOM!!!!

30 06 2006

Finally!!! I have made up all my hours at work that I had taken time off for during exams! Huzzah!!!

Now I can get to enjoying my holiday and relaxing!

And now… here is a plug for my good friend Monkey Matt (Aka Chippa) and his crazy past time of Parkour.  For those who are not familiar with parkour, here is a clip of Chippa and his website to boot. (Note: The clip is about 20mb)
All I can say after watching his clip was… NOICE… and I see you are still putting those black Gi pants to use!

I would be such a terrible traceur since I’m lazy and unfit and scared of heights.. thus no climbing up the side of buildings. I am however quite adept at running from the couch to the fridge and rolling side to side.. so perhaps there is still hope for me in the world of Parkour!

Wowzers…

29 06 2006

It has been an intense couple of weeks with the world cup being on… and being silly die hard fans, Cheazles and myself have been staying up and watching most of the matches! Boy does that F-you up!

Anywhoz.. the Australian side went out a couple of nights ago to a dubious decision, and although it’s no use crying over spilt milk, I think that this world cup has shown that the referees have too much influence on the outcome of a match. The human element, and consequently potential errors in judgement do obviously make the game what it is, however I think perhaps it is time that there is a little technology used to assist in making the correct decision.

So…other than that, not much else has been going on in my world since world cup viewing has been dominating my time. Will be making a little trip up north of the border this weekend and stay with my dear friend Immie and the Giraffe. Fun times to be had by all… plus finals action in the world cup too! I’m going to be absolutely knackered this weekend.

One last thing before I climb into bed, the infamous Rubinho zee Mustang, has now got his own blog… thus I have replaced the link to his photos with the link to his blog itself. So for all those silly folk who know him, or for those who don’t know him but are mildy interested in homoerotic fiction… (ok.. I’m lying… there is no homoerotic fiction on his blog… except for his expression of deep love for Guus Hiddink and his fine work he did with the Socceroos)… visit his site.. I’m sure he’ll love having a large number of hits on his blog tracker.

It’s all clear now…

Ah.. I feel so enlightened after having watched this clip.

If you have any more general questions that need answering, maybe search this website.

Really.. is there nothing Ninja's don't know?!

Oh… and now on a more serious note, here is some parenting information that i think is important to share.

It has started..

World Cup 2006 is HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOT!!!!

Awesome game last night between Germany and Costa Rica. Both teams defence looked a bit average… ended in a goal fest 4 to 2 in Germany's favour. At least there was lots of action though!

on another note… here is a great advertisement for W.o.W. as a contraceptive.

1 to go

2 exams down and 1 to go!

Today's exam went better than expected.. so therefore, tonight I am just going to relax, bludge and enjoy the BRUCE LEE movie on!! GAME OF DEATH!!!!!!!

Oh.. Went and bought 2 books today too… one was The Book and The Sword by Louis Cha which is a wuxia novel and the other was The General Yue Fei by Qian Cai of the Qing Dynasty translated by T.L Yang.

So when all these exams are over, I will have some interesting stuff to read.

Anywhoz… back to the bludging

Voltron Got SERVED!!! *GASP*

I know, I know, I'm probably months behind.. but Voltron deserves every bump it can get! Voltron FTW!!!!!!!

Now… rant time:

I received a phone call from the local indian call centre asking about my home telephone line. Now it was some deal they were trying to offer me to tie up my home phone line with my mobile phone. However, this unfortunate person lucked out and the home telephone is in my parent's name since it is their house. Now, this is where the professionalism of this young lady fell short. She then proceeded to question me as to whether my parents are the type of people who like to save money, and then tried to talk down to me and repeated things several times over just incase i could not comprehend the meaning of save money. Now, I understand she probably had a job to do in trying to make sales, but insulting the intelligence of your customers is a sure way to lose a few. If it was a case where she had a thick accent and perhaps I was misunderstanding her words, then I would understand the need to reiterate. However, if this stupid lady had any sort of idea about telecommunications laws here, there is nothing that I could have agreed to in regards to a phone line that I had told her was not in my name, so badgering me was pointless. All in all, I'd just like to say to optus, please retrain your morons down at the call centre. Call centre work is not easy, and the general reception towards telemarketing is not particularly good, so please don't make things worse by hiring morons.

The next idiot that wishes to try and cold call sell to me will get the standard reply now:

pbunny

That Time Of The Month…

1 06 2006

Ok.. I guess it is not actually a monthly occurance at all, but the impending doom of exams is upon me and my fellow students. It is now the time to lament all those hours spent sleeping/partying/watching tv etc. when we should have been spending them more constructively. However… although after each less than stellar result we promise ourselves we will do better and show more diligence, the appearance of anything remotely more interesting (which is basically anything), we will allow our resolve to wane and will allow our time to be consumed faster than a chocolate bar at a fat camp.

So folks, it is time for the cram to begin.

Good luck to all with exams!
