A test!

Well… I just did this test… and… I’m apparently 76% Totally Addicted to playing W.o.W.

and I have had this game for… erm… about 3 weeks…

This can’t be good. ROFLMAO

Tuesday Night Blues

Well, another Tuesday night and the W.o.W. servers have gone down for weekly maintenance.

So I have been deprived of my regular source of time wasting.

Oh well… maybe it’s time to finish reading the comics I borrowed from Amph.

Was rather annoyed at a fairly brainless attendent at a bookstore today. We went to buy Gorbz’s books for school and  so you order and pay for your books and your number is called and you can collect your purchase and leave. So the activity should take about 30mins all up max! But, we had the unfortunate experience of having perhaps 3 of the most inept people attend to us. The first one was unprofessional enough to hand over our sale to someone else when she was a minute away from finishing up the process anyway. So consequently we were palmed off to the second inept person who provided us with the wrong queue number. So we ended up sitting there from 3:39, as printed on the docket, to 4:40ish. At which time I got up and asked what was taking so long since everyone before us had left a long time ago. Finally we found that we had the wrong number and could have actually left at 3:54 (the time recorded as the first call on our books). This brings me to the third and MOST moronic of the three. This fellow was stupid enough to call the number, but not call out the name on the bag! That would’ve been the correct procedure he should have followed (and on occassion he DID follow). However in our instance he deemed it unnecessary. Not only did he not call the name, but he did not make any second call of the number even in the additional 40min span we had sat there! What kind of stupid moron are you?!?!?! Really, I shall not be going to that bookstore ever again and will also advise other friends and family to avoid the place.

It is so unfortunate that many business’ suffer as a result of this kind of poor treatment of customers. It is clear that as frontline employees for business’ it is of paramount importance for management to ensure their staff are willing, happy and competent. If they are not, then their level of service will fall short and this will effect your customers. Really, I feel that if there had been perhaps a manager present, or if there was one, maybe a manager who has some testicular fortitude, to step up and have some onus for those whom you are responsible for. That twit of a boy who felt he did not need to adhere to the correct process everytime has very well cost the company paying customers. Newsflash for you! less customers = less money = NO JOB FOR YOU!
People just vote with their feet and it won’t ever be just them you are losing, but the other people they tell their experience to. Anyway, enough whinging… time to go

It’s Chinese New Year this weekend, so Gong Xi Fa Cai or Gung Hei Fat Choy (dialect dependent) to all!! Will be another feeding-fest weekend… and perhaps for us relative younguns, a profitable weekend

Well, that’s what I would be saying if I was indeed remorseful… but I’m not!

W.o.W. has been quite a lot of fun and I haven’t played computer games for a long long time!

I will however admit I probably should be going to sleep a bit earlier than I am.

Oh well, you get that…
I’m pleased to report that my Shammy and Cheazles’ Mage have been progressing well! The help from Amph’s Druid has been invaluable! However, another source of help online has come from the fact… WE’VE JOINED A GUILD!

Our Guild is Horde Yakka!

This Guild of Aussies has made playing the game a lot of fun! They are a bunch of really friendly people! I aspire to be a ‘top bloke’ in the Guild!

The Dark Side

Well… I’ve succumbed to the dark side…

On two levels actually.

Firstly:

I’ve started playing W.o.W.
For the uninitiated… that would be World of Warcraft. Yes… back to my nerdy roots. [N.B. Nerdiness is hard to hold back... I've stopped watching Startrek, and long have the days been since I last played the great predecessors to W.o.W. i.e. the text based online phenomenon, M.U.D. (Multi-User Dungeon) (Amph and I still think fondly of Plethora... before they stuffed it up) BUT it's inevitable that the nerd genes resurface]
Anywhoz… that is the first point.

Secondly:

I’ve chosen to go the route of a Troll Shaman. Thus I’m playing ‘HORDE’ and am supposedly a ‘bad guy!’

*GASP*

Anyway… enough of my nerdy ramblings.

Since the server is down tonight… I should attempt to find something more constructive to do other than sitting online and wasting my time.

Maybe I should do some training… hehehe… what a novelty… I’m turning a little ‘doughy’ [A term I use to describe my sister]

Well… time to go…

Day 2

Well, we are officially into day 2 of 2006! How time is flying!

Day 1 seems to have been a little bit of a non-event. Spent a large portion of it asleep and then the rest of the time just playing PS2 and watching TV. Hopefully it isn’t a sign of what is to come this year.

I think I’ll go to bed now… maybe when I get up I’ll maximize the rest of day 2!
