Neglect

28 11 2005

I’ve been neglecting my ice cream and pointy thing posts it seems.

In anycase, just a short recap on all ice cream and sharp pointy related activities.

Whilst north of the border I was schooled in the Ice Cream Arts by N the Pirate. Enjoyed a delightful Affogato…  with assorted ice cream flavours…then tried another different Affogato at another place which used a hazelnut ice cream. That was rather nice too.

THEN… whilst in Chinatown, I went and got a Durian Ice Cream.. which when I ordered it, the gentleman asked me if I knew what Durian was… to which my reply was an indignant snort and then I replied ‘yes’ in my haughtiest voice I could muster. In anycase, it was a little milky tasting in the beginning but satisfactory nonetheless… doesn’t top the home made durian ice cream my uncle made.

Now, regarding pointy things… I have procured some new items from a friend… so I have now added an additional 3 pointy items to my collection! MUHAHahahahhaha…

I can now try tamishigiri in my backyard… Naive Pool Noodles wandering the streets beware! hahahahaha…

Anywayz, enough babbling… I need to go pick up Cheazles… am running late now… spent my whole night watching Veronica Mars… Terribly addictive…

Relief…

28 11 2005

Well, I got my results and… I DIDN’T FAIL ANYTHING! WOOHOO!

Actually… the subject I thought I did the worse on I got a distinction in… so that shows you how much I really know… I did however get an average mark for a subject I thought I did ok in… so… I guess it all evens out.
THE RELIEF THOUGH… PHew… I have officially finished a year of studies… AAAaaaahhh… one step closer to working and the end of 3 mth holidays. But fortunately I still have several years to go.

Onto other news… I have been watching Veronica Mars… courtesy of Amph.

Pretty cool series… and I have to agree with Amph.. pretty foxy chick… (though the above attached pic prob ain’t her best) however, damn nice… not so good in her ‘flash back popular long hair’ segments… but cute as hell in her modern funky look. Anywayz… the show is pretty entertaining so far and I’m looking forward to seeing the rest!

Oh… and for those of you who have been to Cheazle’s blog… Updown Court is mine! updowncourt

I saw it first… that pesky Mittal the Magnate out bid me on it!

ok… like I have 110+ million bucks… I’ve gotta wait at least a few more years… hehehehe…

13 degrees of bliss!

23 11 2005

So, I have returned from my sojourn north of the border! The humidity and warm weather was wreaking havoc on my well insulated body! hehehe.. Anywayz, I stepped off the plane upon my return and it was 13 degrees! AAAaaaahh… boy did that feel good… nice and crisp… not sweaty and gross!
To make matters worse whilst there was the walking… constant walking… My sister and her boyfriend only have a two seater car… and are health fanatics who walk everywhere… so we were forced to walk too! :(

However, besides the walking and heat… my trip was great fun! I ate and ate and ate!

Big Hazzah to N the Pirate for taking us to a lovely little italian joint and educating us on the finer points of ice cream. He felt my knowledge was woefully short and that I must have attained my ice cream fan membership fraudulently.

All the other food I had was quite good too… but besides eating… I also ended up spending lots of money shopping. I am quite fond of one particular purchase I made… my new ‘Fat kids shouldn’t play hide and seek’ t-shirt is going to have lots of wear… and I’m thinking I’ll try have someone buy me the ‘Fat kids are harder to kidnap’ t-shirt too!

In summation… had a good time… sweated a lot… ate a lot… walked a lot… spent a lot! so had ‘a lot’ of a good time!

Good luck to N for his Tangerine belt grading! hahahaha… you’ll be on to pastel colours in no time!

Divine Right?

17 11 2005

WRONG!

BWAHAHAHAHahahahahaha…. eat that one Recoba!!!

Mark Schwarzer YOU ARE A LEGEND! saved 2 spot kicks! Top effort son! You sure pulled Viduka’s butt out of the fire for missing that kick!

Anywayz… the Aussie’s are through to the world cup for the first time in a VERY VERY LONG TIME.

Good on ya boyz!

Week 2: Minimal Zombie Activity

13 11 2005

Well… my second week of complete bludging is beginning and I’ve comfortably adjusted to having nothing to do. I think I have found my true calling. Next to sleeping and eating, I haven’t found anything I enjoy much more than not doing anything in particular.

On the Zombie front, I have been looking after a friend’s apartment whilst they are overseas, and I had the unfortunate task of informing her that mrs. Jones in 402 was found to be a Zombie sympathizer and was discovered partially consumed. It is disturbing to find people who still choose to ignore the Zombie outbreak warnings! Haven’t people learnt anything from the evil dead movies?

Anywayz, visited Mustang tonite and the silly twit has gone and splurged on a new mobile and an i-river mp3 player! I fully warned him against getting a credit card! In any case… his i-river was pretty cool and his Sennheiser head phones had pretty good sound.

Also went to one of my fave little restaurants near home. Almost walked straight past it as it had recieved a face lift since we had last been there (long time between drinks because of exams). As usual, the food was great and I have yet to be disappointed by their culinary delights. However, their service as usual left a bit to be desired. It’s more a case of the place being quite busy and so once you’ve been seated and ordered ure food… well… they end up being a little slow to clear up the table and ask if you want coffee or the bill etc. But still… I quite enjoy the food so i’ll continue to go.

So… what else is on the agenda this week? Not a lot… actually… Amph finishes exams so we’ll have to party hard before he has to start work! Also I’m heading up north of the border over next weekend with Cheazles, so that should be a fun time. Hopefully will fit some training in too. Other than that… I have no idea… perhaps more sitting about on my firm yet pliable behind…

Edit: Just two quick things to add. Firstly… Happy B’day Amph! and secondly this little non-p.c. gem from someone’s forum signature… “A fat chick walked past wearing a ‘GUESS’ shirt. I said ‘Thyroid Problem?’ ”

Exhaustion…

10 11 2005

Well… finally I got back into training! but I must say… we all had to wind it up earlier than we would’ve liked just cos physically we couldn’t push ourselves much further! we were just out of condition! hehehe… well, I lie… we could’ve pushed ourselves perhaps a little bit longer, but we weren’t really willing to! Slackers I know… but it was the first one back and we’re just easing ourselves into things. Was quite enjoyable though!

Watching the Si Hing train… in particular Dai Si Hing… man I would definately not like to be hit by him… he really would live up to his nick name ‘Hippo’… cos he’d wallop you like one…
Also have a few sharp and pointy items coming up on the purchase horizon! woohoo! the collection is growing! it’s GROWING!!! MUHAHAHAHAHAHahahhaha…

Anywayz… I’m getting tired now… sleeps… later Hippies…

Week 1: Zero Zombie Outbreaks

7 11 2005

Well, it’s officially week one of my holidays… what to do, what to do?

So far I’ve had a BBQ… first of many over summer I’m assuming… and I’ve had a lovely home cooked Sri Lankan meal with some friends. Unfortunately I didn’t get to the kickboxing tonight… attempted to do some training over the weekend and ended up just wasting a few hours with the boys. All in all, it was a fairly unproductive weekend… and I hope to have many more like this over summer!

As noted in the title, there have been zero zombie outbreaks to date… but as I am always vigilant, perhaps I’ll run through some zombie suppression scenarios with some other like minded suppressionist.

Oh.. there has been constant supply of ice cream… been going the cornetto’s last few days… good stuff… not a massive fan of them, but they are quite adequate to sate my ice cream urges.

I don’t think there was a real purpose to my posting… I’m wasting some time online whilst I should in fact be sleeping since I do have work tomorrow… however I’m enjoying the soulful tones of Al Green, Etta James and Otis Redding…. AHhh….oh.. not to forget Marvin Gaye too…

It’s ure Birthday!

4 11 2005

Ok… I lie… it’s not his birthday yet… nor is it mine yet… BUT…

Go Amph… It’s ure birthday! Go Amph… It’s ure birthday!! Woot Woot!!

Well.. that perhaps might be what I would be singing and dancing if I were so inclined, but since I’m not I will raise my glass in a toast to the great Amphine Ceratani! I now have a few key words to lay before you… such as… Toyota F1 (pitlane pass??)… Corolla Sportivo… Lobster Dinner! hehehehehe

Anywayz, congrats on impressing the Toyota fellows! Knew you could… I told you… never under estimate the influence of the wonderbra, a halter top and a nice rack… the true meaning of asset management… erm… hang on… that wasn’t my advice to you… that’s what I told someone who was trying to woo a guy… cleavage + lamb… always works a treat…I’m off track now… ANYWHOs…

To address ure comments… if you had a trekkie replicator I know full well food would not be on the top of ure list of things to replicate… let me throw a few ideas at y’all… a Mech? a lightsabre? Zhang ZiYi? and I will not be spending my holidays playing W.o.W… namely cos my comp is crap and won’t be able to support it… and… I’ve eaten too much for dinner…

Sooooo much food… good old Malaysians BBQing… thus… no salads either… hehehehe… 100% meat! But now I’m torn… I’m still full, but I’m so tired… I feel pregnant… not that I would know how that actually feels… And lastly to finish up on the topic of pregnancy… Congrats to my good friend J-To! for having her second baby! Named Owen I believe! YAY for babies… I love other people who also enjoy losing one sock and sticking their whole fist into their mouth! Plus you just can’t beat new baby smell… I was told (as was passed down thru the generations) that through evolution new babies naturally smell good so that your natural reaction isn’t to throw them away! Makes sense once they start gnawing on the furniture… damn gopher babies…

Done and Dusted!

4 11 2005

AAaaahh…. 4mths of bliss! I can spend my days doing whatever I feel like and relax!!

Finished the last exam today and now I don’t have to think about studying til next March! So… I got a BBQ tomorrow nite with the uni guys and a dinner Sat nite… and finally going to Kung fu on Sat too! This is going to be painful I think!

I’m wondering if I should find someone to go to the kickboxing on Monday… should be good.. Zambidis is fighting! The man is damn good!

So… what other plans should I have for my hols? Lotsa people to catch up with… lotsa training to catch up with… but really i should have some sort of schedule… cos it $ux to come to the end of the holidays and realise I didn’t do anything! Hmmm… decisions decisions…

Almost there…

2 11 2005

By this time tomorrow I will have completed my first year back of full time academic studies… I am proud to say I have actually some what studied as opposed to my initial tertiary endeavours. In the good old years I think I spent more time at training than at uni… Didn’t get my degree but I did get a couple of black belts! hehehehe… but now I need to control myself, cos once you start training again you just can’t stop!

Anywayz, the past is the past and now I’m just attempting to power through this degree and on to greener pastures with income to support my addiction to all things sharp & pointy… actually.. i do like wooden training weapons too…

Well… enough digressing… time to finish the cram!

but first, I think I’ll reward myself with an ice cream… this wretched 32degree weather! How I long for the cold and wet days on winter…

oh… Congrats to Amph for finishing out his last classes for his double degree! Top effort! Too bad you won’t have 3-4mth hols anymore! hehehe.. unless you do post grad! In which case, we have a few more years of bludging over summer together! GRAND HAZZAH TO AMPH!!

EDIT: Hey Amph, just read ure sis comments about not that much to do in KL as a semi-local… (I don’t think I classify as a semi-local… not enuf hours logged in KL) but let her know that I would love to enjoy her 5 days of Sungai Wang, Midvalley, 1 Utama, Assam Laksa and Cendol!! sounds AWESOME!!! (Ok the shopping part is probably more for Cheazles, but THE FOOD!! THINK OF THE FOOD!!!) Museums in Malaysia?? nah man!! hawker stalls and markets!!
